METHODOLOGY
How PoV classifies research setups.
General methodology only — proprietary thresholds are not published.
What a research classification means
Strong and Very Strong are relative research classifications. They indicate how closely a setup matched the strategy’s published categories of checks at the time of a scan. They are not a probability of profit, expected return, recommendation, trade instruction or guarantee.
What is considered
Depending on the strategy, PoV evaluates combinations of implied-volatility context, option structure, liquidity, event risk, expiry context, price behaviour and data completeness. The relevant checks differ by strategy and may be unavailable when a data source is delayed or incomplete.
What is intentionally not disclosed
Specific thresholds, ranking weights, implementation details and timing rules are proprietary. This protects the consistency of the research process and does not remove a user’s need to independently verify market information.
Important limitations
Classifications can change as market data changes. They do not account for an individual’s finances, objectives, portfolio, execution ability, tax position or risk tolerance. Past observations and paper-trade results do not predict future results.
How to use PoV responsibly
Use a classification as one input for study. Review the linked explanation, check the current market and contract information, understand risk, and make any real-money decision independently.
